Finally, we announce the call for entries of a new global photography competition, the Blueprint iGuzzini Architecture Photography Awards, with a £1,000 prize and the winners being shown at designjunction and the Blueprint Awards in October. We meet Hong Kong-based Rural Urban Framework, recent winners of the RIBA's first International Emerging Architect Prize for its work on new models of rural development in China, and head to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art for a new exhibition on Chinese practice Amateur Architecture and architect Wang Shu. Today, it continues to be revered by architects and designers around the world for its fresh and unconventional approach. It was established by Peter Murray and Deyan Sudjic with the financial backing of leading architects and designers including Richard Rogers, Terence Conran and Rodney Fitch. Launched in 1983, Blueprint was the first magazine to cross the boundaries between design and architecture. At Blueprint we cast a critical eye over the whole story'.
